Dale Lewis British, b. 1980

Dale Lewis transforms ordinary scenes of contemporary urban life into chaotic and grotesque spectacles. Drawing from personal experiences and observed reality, his paintings combine social realism with exaggerated, allegorical imagery to expose the excesses and contradictions of modern society. Lewis frequently draws on compositions and visual references from art history, reinterpreting established painting traditions within contemporary urban settings. Energetic and densely narrative, his works balance humor, discomfort, and social critique while revealing the absurdity and darker undercurrents of everyday life.
