Minju Kang Korean, b. 1993

Biography

Minju Kang (b. 1993 -) began her studies in the arts at Sejong University in Seoul, Korea in 2015 and has completed her Masters at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in 2023 as a Meister student of Professor Thomas Scheibitz. Her solo exhibitions include ‘Somewhere in the Middle of Nowhere’(Jean-Claude Maier, Frankfurt, 2024), ‘Stare into space’ (Graduation show, Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, 2023) ,‘Dream core’, (Jean-Claude Maier, Frankfurt, 2022). She has participated in group exhibitions including ‘Junge Kunst aus dem Rheinland auf der Galopprennbahn Düsseldorf’(2023), ‘Der Bogen im Auge’(KIT, Dusseldörf, 2022), and ‘Scratches on the surface’(2021). Her upcoming exhibition include ‘Somewhere in the Middle of Nowhere’ at Jean-Claude Maier in Frankfurt and ‘Intermezzo’ at Artist Residencies Düsseldorf in 2024. Minju Kang has received the Baker Tilly Künstler-Stipendium at KIT in Düsseldorf in 2022. Minju Kang Lives and works in Seoul, South Korea.
